Kendrick Lamar continues to make enemies since dropping his verse on Big Sean’s track “Control“.  Kevin Hart is the latest to send shots back at the talented MC.  Hart portrays his known pseudonym “Chocolate Droppa” and goes in on Kendrick.

Possible Big Tymers Album

Good news for the fans of the infamous  New Orleans-based duo the Big Tymers, which previously consisted of Birdman and producer Mannie Fresh....
We may have been taken aback last year when it was revealed that an album from the group was in the works, but would not include Mannie Fresh. Lil Wayne shared the news and informed fans that the album would instead consist of himself, Birdman, and Drake.

Following Wayne’s interview with MTV last year, few details in regards to a Big Tymers album have surfaced until now. Mannie Fresh recently chopped it up with MTV during NBA All-Star Weekend and addressed the possibility of working with Birdman on a Big Tymers album.

The Louisiana beatsmith revealed that he and Birdman have discussed a possible album, but are currently at the “facts and figures” stage.

"Facts and figures," Mannie Fresh said. "That's where we at right now. Facts and figures. We just trying to lay down a plan for it, a blueprint and we'll see what happens from there...We just talking, ya heard? That's all I could tell you. No verses, no music, none of that. We just started on negotiating, that's where we at right now. Hopefully it's gon happen. I'ma give you a positive note, hopefully it's gon happen."

In addition to possibly working with Birdman on a Big Tymers album, Mannie says he’s currently working with rapper Yasiin Bey on the duo’s OMFGOD album. He offered an update on the status of the project while speaking with MTV, stating that once Yasiin takes a break from his acting career they’ll be able to complete the project.

"We working on it," he said. "Mos do movies for a living, so when he finish making movies, we'll finish it. He gotta feed his family just like I gotta feed mine. It's one of them things where I gotta work around his schedule. I can do this all day everyday but Hollywood is a 'lil different, so soon as dude slow up what he's doing, we'll finish it and get it to y'all. I know the world waiting for that, so I'ma make sure it happens."

Following news that a Big Tymers album could possibly be made without his assistance, Mannie criticized the addition of Lil Wayne and Drake on such a project.

"[Lil Wayne and Drake are] not the Big Tymers,” he said last year, according to HotNewHipHop.com.

Kanye Defends Drake Against Rolling Stone

Kanye West is know for his questionable and at most times erratic rants, but last nights rant in Newark New Jersey in my opinion was welcomed and appropriate. After dissing Charlamagne and Sway a few nights ago in University Park, PA., Kanye went on a more mellow and rational rant last night in Newark regarding Drizzy and the rumor mill regarding his "Rolling Stone Interview". Kanye defended Drake against Rolling Stone and accused the magazine of attempting to divide the two. Also included in the rant, was his opinion on Macklemore's Grammy wins, being a quote unquote genius, rappers doing well in the music industry, picking Adidas for his latest deal, and much more.

Omarion & Girlfriend Expecting!!!

Happy Valentines Day Indeed! Friday the 29- year old singer announced that  via a video clip showing the ultrasound of his current girlfriend Apryl Jones, that they were expecting. The caption read “Say hi #comingsoon #thelegacybegins @aprylsjones is my heart, what a great gift! #ecstatic,”

Birdman's $500,000 Birthday Bash

Birdman is turning 45 years old and he is making sure it will be one of the most memorable birthdays ever. Reports claim the music mogul is looking to spend $500,000 on the big birthday bash that will include endless amounts of champagne, naked women, his $7 million car collection and of course his Young Money and the original Cash Money crew.

According to TMZ, the party is set to start in New Orleans last night (Saturday Feb.15th) during the NBA All Star Weekend and Birdmanhas rented out a private venue.

"The party is set to go down in New Orleans Saturday night — in the middle of NBA All-Star Weekend. Birdman rented out a private venue … which he’s renamed  “Birdman’s New Era Voodoo Lounge.” (TMZ)

The guest list was reportedly insane with names such as Blake Griffth and James Harden.

"The guest list is sick — party host JJ Jones tells us, James Harden, Paul George, Blake Griffin, Shaq, and Kenny Smith are coming … as well as Young Money rappers Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, and more" (TMZ)

"The original Cash Money crew is also set to make an appearance and they have not all been together in almost a decade.

Yung Thug Signs to Cash Money?

Young Thug leaked the information about him signing to Cash Money Records a little early.

Speculation has been arising lately, but when Young Thugwas earlier seen exiting a Maybach that Cash Money Exec., Birdman was chilling in, he was snagged for an (unplanned) interview with Mass Appeal who asked him whether he was signed to Cash Money or not. Young Thug replied, "Yeah. I signed."

There has been no official announcement from either Birdman or any Cash Money representatives, so take this is as the unofficial announcement. However, given the fact that  Young Thug was seen rocking a GTV Bottle Chain (which can be seen in the gallery) given to him by Birdman himself in addition the the most recent statement from Thug, it seems all but certain. Especially since the snapshot of him sporting a dress was, as controversial as it might of been, compared to rocking leggings/tights the uniom seems inevitable. Regardless of anythong Cash Money doesn't have a good track record of pushing artists like other labels. Outside of the headliners we rarely hear of any. So many have come and gone (i.e. omarion, ray j, etc), we shall see with this yung thug.

Charlagmagne Responds To Kanye West's Latest Rant Regarding Himself

During a segment on The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne responded to Kanye West’s on-stage rant and is no less explicit.

Following Kanye effectively telling Charlamagne to “shut the f*ck up” at his Yeezus tour stop at Bryce Jordan Center this past Thursday (February 13th), Charlamagne believes Kanye is acting like a “single, bitter b*tch.” Charlamagne questions the validity of Kanye’s gripe with the radio personality by the timing of the rant:

If you felt that way and you sat here in this studio for over an hour and didn’t say none of that. But, now three to four months later you ranting about me again.

Chief Keep: My Last Two Mixtapes were Mistakes....

Chief Keef has finally admitted  that his past addiction to promethazine has tampered with his musical quality before entering rehab in November. In his first interview since entering Wavelengths Recovery rehabilitation center in Orange County, California,  Keef told Billboard that his last two mixtapes, Almighty So and Bang Pt. 2 were “mistakes” due to his drug problems:

My last two mixtapes were mistakes. I was on promethazine, all drugged out. I was tweaking. I don’t sip the lean no more though.

Keef also revealed that the single from his upcoming project Bang Pt. 3 will be entitled “F*ck Rehab”. A music video for the song has already been filmed. Bang Pt. 3′s release date will be undetermined until Keef’s February 28th court date in Chicago to assess his progress in rehab. Nicki Minaj Apologizes For Malcom X and her latest track "Looking Ass Nigga" Controversy

May I just say this is another case of good ol fashion haterade. Nicki Minaj has been the object of criticism for the artwork for her latest song "Lookin Ass Ni**a." The Young Money rapper was blasted by numerous social media sites, fans, and more for using an image of Malcolm X showing the civil rights leader holding an M1 Carbine and looking out of the window. 

Twitter and Instagram were flooded with comments addressing the artwork calling it disrespectful and offensive. Following the backlash, Nicki issued an apology on Instagram. She claims the artwork was never the official artwork for the track and that she did not intend to demean Malcom X's legacy in any way shape or form. 

Official Nicki Apology:

"What seems to be the issue now? Do you have a problem with me referring to the people Malcom X was ready to pull his gun out on as Lookin Ass Niggas? Well, I apologize. That was never the official artwork, nor is this an official single. This is a conversation. Not a single. I am in the video shooting at Lookin Ass Niggas and there happened to be an iconic photo of Malcolm X ready to the same thing for what he believed in!!! It is in no way to undermine his efforts and legacy. I apologize to the Malcolm X estate if the meaning of the photo was misconstrued. The word 'Nigga' causes so much debate in our community while the 'Nigga' behavior is praised and worshiped. Let's not. Apologies again to his family. I have nothing but respect and adoration for you. The photo was removed hours ago. Thank you."

The Michael Dunn Verdict is in: Mistrial Declared

(Via ABC News) - A Florida jury found Michael Dunn guilty on four of the five charges in a case in which he was accused of shooting a teenager to death over loud music, but they could not come to a decision on the murder charge and a mistrial was declared on that count.

Apparently Florida is now known as the 'We let murders especially of African American Minors go free' State. Not to mention nobody seems to take into account that we are not just discussing murder but murder of our children. Black or White the youth is dying out at the hands of the same idiots we are allowing to walk free. Where is the 'stand your ground' in this instance. Not only do I have to tell my child she needs to be on guard walking in her grandmothers (Caucasian) neighborhood. But now she must wear headphones because God forbid someone doesn't like the level of her music.

Dunn, 47, had faced a first degree murder charge for the shooting and death of Jordan Davis, 17, in a Jacksonville convenience store parking lot on November 23rd, 2012.

The judge had instructed the jury that they could consider lesser chargers, including second degree murder, manslaughter, justifiable homicide, or excusable homicide, but they said they could not come to an agreement on any of the those chargers.

Dunn was found guilty of four counts. Three counts of attempted second degree murder for shooting at the other teens in the car and one count for firing a gun into a car.

Big Sean Confirms working with JLO and taking Singing lessons

According to an interview with Rap-Up the Detroit native confirmed rumors that has in fact collaborated with J-Lo and says it was an honor working with her. "It's legendary, J-Lo from Jenny from the block, she's like an O.G." Sean said when asked about working with Lopez. "You can't help but pay respect to an O.G., so she was there looking like she was my age, cool. She's cool man, she beautiful, talented, it's an honor."

When asked about reports that he was taking singing lessons, he confirmed this as well and said there was more singing lessons in the future.

"For sure you're going to hear more singing from me." he said, "I don't know about the next album or whatever but I've been taking lessons and I've been getting good too man." Sean claims there are more music releases to come and that his latest video was just the start of things.

"The album is, well on the way. We've been in a great groove so you can expect some announcements sooner or later. We've been killing these features too. Ya'll going to hear some crazy shit."

Drake Speaks on The Carter V and it's release date

It's official Carter V will be released May 5th 2014!!! During a performance at the House of Blues in New Orleans yesterday (February 14th), Drake disclosed some very important information to YMCMB fans. "You wanna hear Lil Wayne at his best?" Drake asks the crowd in a video posted by motahiphop.com. "If you wanna hear Young Money at they best, I mean it's Carter V May fifth. Just know we bout that shit for real!" On Sunday (February 9th) Drake tweeted about the Carter V. In June 2013, Wayne said he hopes to retire after the Carter V's release. "My next Album isn't the Carter V because I think I have to work on other albums with my pop Birdman and things like that" weezy said at the time, "But, after the Carter V, I hope I can retire."

Chris Brown Sued over Alleged Assault During Basketball game

So the media has latched on once again to Chris Brown. Allegedly the singer is being sued for attacking a man during a basketball game they had both participated in. Reportedly Malcolm Ausbon "the plaintiff" filed a lawsuit, Thursday February 13, Brown and his four man entourage threatened to assault Ausbon, retreated, then proceeded to assault him along with Brown once the game resumed. The lawsuit alleges that Ausbon called a foul on Brown. The singer as a result then threatened to "put these hands on you." (OKAY PAUSE!!!! AS MY FAVORITE RAPPER T.I. WOULD SAY....DID HE THREATEN TO ASSAULT OR DID HE ASSAULT? I DIGRESS....) Ausbon is suing Brown, the unidentified members of his entourage (Apparently you can sue John Doe's) and 24 hour fitness for unspecified damages claiming he was the victim of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence. After the alleged assault, Malcolm Ausbon was rushed to the emergency room sustaining injuries to his face, neck, head, back, ribs and legs. The lawsuit also claims Brown was a member of the Bloods street gang (Obviously I'm not the only one who noticed the possible homage in his "THEY DON'T KNOW" video ft. the late Aaliyah [R.I.P.]) and the members of Brown's entourage chimed in during the incident and stated "If you fuck with Chris, you fuck with us." (I'm assuming you can't just be down for your friend...typical victims smh)  This situation as comical as it may or may not be is not the first instance with Brown, however, hopefully it will be the last. In fact Brown has two upcoming court dates scheduled. The first, on February 20, regarding an alleged assault of a man outside a Washington D.C. hotel and the second, on the 28th, related to his probation violation in connection with the D.C. assault. That date, Brown is slated to be in a L.A. for the court hearing; and of course the infamous 2009 physical assault of former girlfriend Rihanna. Currently Chris Brown is in court-ordered rehab for anger management. I personally just consider Chris misunderstood. It's very difficult to express yourself in what society deems "appropriate behavior" when they won't let you breathe for more than two seconds, let alone allow you to behave in any fashion without the watchful eye of some social media network or outlet. My prayers and well wishes to Chris and his camp.
